These terms apply to use of thesubbieqs.co.uk, client accounts and downloadable QS templates. Paid quantity surveying work is also subject to the written proposal or appointment agreed with the client. If that appointment conflicts with these website terms, the signed appointment takes priority for the service.
Who we are
The Subbie QS is a subcontractor-focused service of QS and Estimating Consultants Ltd, company number 14808122, of Suite 22, The Alaska Building, Sitka Dr, Shrewsbury SY2 6LG. Contact: info@thesubbieqs.co.uk.
Accounts
You must provide accurate details, keep login credentials confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for people using your account with your authority. We may suspend an account to protect security, investigate misuse or respond to non-payment.
Retainer plans, hours and carry-over
Bronze includes 1 hour, Silver 4 hours, Gold 8 hours and Platinum 16 hours of QS capacity each month unless a written appointment states otherwise. Unused time from one monthly allowance may carry into the immediately following month, capped at one normal monthly allowance for the plan. Carried time expires at the end of that following month and cannot roll forward again or build up. Bronze and Silver are primarily advice, review and support plans; they do not promise ongoing production of full applications, notices or detailed submissions. Gold provides regular support and Platinum can include hands-on QS delivery, prioritised within the available monthly allowance.
A retainer reserves access and capacity. The default allowance resets each month and unused time does not roll over unless the written appointment expressly says it does. Work beyond the allowance, travel, specialist advice and urgent out-of-scope work require prior agreement and may incur an additional fee.
Monthly and annual subscriptions
Prices are shown exclusive of VAT. Monthly subscriptions are billed each month. Annual subscriptions are billed in advance for 12 months at the displayed saving, while service hours continue to reset monthly. Renewal, plan changes, notice, cancellation and any refund position follow the written appointment and the subscription terms shown at checkout. Cancelling a payment instruction does not by itself cancel amounts already due under an agreed annual commitment.
Stripe payments
Card checkout and billing management take place on Stripe-hosted pages. We do not receive or store full card details. You authorise the recurring charge selected at checkout. Contact us promptly about an invoice or billing error.
Client documents and instructions
You must provide complete, accurate and timely documents, facts, approvals and instructions. You remain responsible for checking and authorising anything issued in your name. Outcomes can depend on contract wording, records, timing and decisions made by other parties; no recovery, assessment or dispute outcome is guaranteed.
Templates
Downloadable templates are licensed to the recipient and their business for internal project use. You may adapt them for your jobs, but must not resell, publish, sublicense or distribute them as a competing template product. Templates are general working tools, not legal advice, and must be checked against the signed contract, amendments, dates and facts.
Intellectual property
The website, branding and original template structure remain owned by or licensed to QS and Estimating Consultants Ltd. Client-specific documents and pre-existing client material are dealt with under the written appointment.
Availability and liability
We aim to keep the website and portal available but cannot promise uninterrupted access. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Other liability limitations for paid services are set out in the written appointment.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to bypass security, access another client account, upload malicious material, overload the service or use the website unlawfully. We may block access and preserve relevant records where misuse is suspected.

Law
These website terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights that apply.
